Wizards Win 8th Straight game, Defeat Cavaliers 119-110

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The red hot Washington Wizards came into Sunday night's game having won 7 consecutive games. Brandley Beal had the hot hand for the Wiz kids, leading all scorers with 33 points, leading the Wizards to a 119-110 win over the visiting Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers stuck rookie Isaac Okoro on Russell Westbrook to try and slow the former MVP down, and it worked. Westbrook had his 4-game triple-double streak snapped, scoring 14 points and dropping 11 assists.

With Collin Sexton out with concussion symptoms, Cavaliers head coach JB Bickerstaff looked to Darius Garland to have a big game, and the youngster answered the bell. Garland scored 28 points on 9-20 shooting, while tallying 9 assists. Cleveland big man Jarrett Allen set a new career high in scoring with 27 points.

Cleveland will travel to Florida to take on the Raptors on Monday evening. Tip-off in Florida is set for 7:30 pm ET at the Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay, Florida.
