CLEVELAND -
On Sunday April 25th at 1:00 PM the 18th Annual Rally for Troops will be held at Cleveland Rock N Roll City Harley Davidson (RNRCHD) located at West 150 and Brookpark Road. The purpose of the Rally is to honor the memory of Ohio’s 283 Fallen from Operations in Iraq and Afghanistan with a reading of their NAMES and to express our support and appreciation to all veterans who returned home, some with visible and invisible wounds.
The Rally which traditionally was held in downtown Cleveland in Public Square or the Veterans Memorial was moved to RNRCHD as the City of Cleveland was not able to issue a permit due to state and city COVID restrictions. As in past years Monica Robins of WKYC will be the Master of Ceremonies and will open the Rally with the National Anthem. The Strongsville VFW will present the Flag and will honor the Fallen with taps and a three volley fire. A member of the Cleveland Firefighters Pipes and Drums will conclude the Ceremony with Amazing Grace. The Rally will last one hour and some of the Gold Star family members will be present to read their son or daughter’s name.
There is no cost to attend, and the Rally will take place regardless of the weather. The event is open to the public
