For the Indians the Battle for the Ohio Cup did not start the way they had planned. Through the first two innings the Indians looked ready to go, unfortunately the Reds were focused and ready to go.
In the first Inning the Indians a Reds pitching would take care of business. The score was 0-0 at the end on the first inning. In the top of the second the Indians would score first when Amed Rosario hit a solo homerun to left (399 feet) to put the Tribe up 1-0 heading into the bottom of the second.
Logan Allen looked good through the second inning, giving up zero hits against the first six batter faced.
That momentum would quickly evaporate after an error by third baseman Jose Ramirez. After that error the Indians pitching staff would give up 7 runs on 5 hits in the bottom of the 3rd inning.
After the 3rd inning the Reds would lead 7-1. That lead would be increased to 9-1 on a Stephenson 2 run single. Then in the Bottom of the 6th inning Alex Castellanos would hit s ball deep to right field to make the score 10-1 after 6.
The game would stay quite until the top of 9th The inning started with a solo homerun by Jordan Luplow making the score 10-2 in favor of the Reds, later in the inning Jose Ramirez would hit s sac fly to score Gimenez. The final of the game would be 10-3.
