(CLEVELAND, OH) - Elevation Festivals, creators and producers of WonderStruck in Cleveland- Cleveland's music festival and the WonderBus Music & Arts Festival in Columbus, announced today their intention to run both music festivals this summer.
"The United Kingdom plans to fully reopen Great Britain on June 21. Within 72 hours of Prime Minister Boris Johnson's announcement, mega music festivals in Reading and Leeds sold over 100,000 tickets," stated Elevation president Denny Young. "On Monday, our neighbors in Indianapolis opened 'indoor' music venues to a capacity of 50%. And yesterday, when reporting the 2021 Rock Hall Induction ceremony information, Cleveland.com's headline read: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony switches venues, could draw its largest audience ever. Each day, we become more confident and believe that running music festivals this summer is possible. If the positive trends continue, reopening is certain. We plan to be ready to safely present both WonderStruck and WonderBus."
Young continued, "We will communicate with the Ohio Department of Health and the Office of Governor Mike DeWine and will coordinate our plans and actions in compliance with state health mandates and protocol. The safety of our attendees, artists, vendors and staff is our top priority."
Confirmation of Dates
WonderStruck will shift dates from early June to Saturday and Sunday, July 24-25, 2021. Based on the current information available, we are confident that we can safely stage WonderStruck in late July and not before. By then, we forecast an additional reduction in restrictions and an increase in permitted capacity that will present a festival experience closer to "normal." In the event of further issues and potential delays in Ohio, we have held dates in September as a contingency.
The decision to move the Cleveland dates was based on: 1) the most current information disseminated by the Ohio Governor's office on February 25, 2) the latest data on vaccines and 3) a reasonable projection of time needed to get back to "normal." Last week, Governor DeWine approved the staging of festivals (and other events) scheduled for this spring with restrictions. He increased the percentage of capacity for outdoor venues to 30%. Additionally, last night, President Biden stated: "This country will have enough vaccine supply for every adult in America by the end of May."
The dates for theWonderBus Music & Arts Festival in Columbus are unchanged: August 28-29, 2021.
Lineup Reveal + Ticket Availability

"As long as the trend remains positive and we are closer to a broader re-opening of large, open-air, outdoor music, sports and family entertainment venues, the plan is to announce the full lineups for each event at some point next month (April)," stated Elevation chief operating officer Steve Lindecke.
At the time in which all festival details are announced, tickets will go back on sale. If you are a current ticketholder who elected to rollover your 2020 tickets to 2021 and you have a question, please contact info@elevationgroup.com.
