(Lorain) - The body of a man, missing from Lorain for almost two months, was found Sunday in Lake Erie.
The Lorain County Sheriff's Office says that about 11 a.m. Sunday, they received a call from a man fishing at the Hot Waters Boat Launch, near the mouth of the Black River. The man said he thought he saw a body floating in the lake.
Lorain County deputies and the U.S. Coast Guard recovered the body, and it was determined to be that of Nathan Orona, 20, who was last seen February 1, along with his friend, Alaina Camacho, 18. The two were last seen leaving the Sheffield Estates apartments. Camacho is still missing, as is the car they were seen in, a gold 2004 Honda Accord.
The Coast Guard attempted to search the waters for Camacho, but the search was suspended due to high winds,.
The Lorain County Coroner will do an autopsy on Orona to determine a cause of death, and possibly determine how long he had been in the lake.
