Two Motorcyclists Die In Crashes Sunday

(Northeast Ohio) - It's the time of year when you'll see more motorcycles on the road, but on Sunday, two motorcycle riders took their final rides.

On Sunday afternoon, a 57-year-old woman died when her motorcycle was involved in a crash with multiple vehicles. It happened on I-480 near the Grayton Road exit, by Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. That spot is just inside Cleveland from Fairview Park. 3 News reports at least eight police cars, three fire trucks, and four ambulances were called out to the crash site.

About 7 p.m. Sunday, an Elyria man died when his motorcycle was hit by a minivan making a left turn. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says Sara Miller, 30, of Carlisle Township, was turning left into her driveway on Butternut Ridge Road. The Highway Patrol says Miller didn't yield the right of way to an oncoming motorcycle, driven by William Gunter, 32, of Elyria. Miller's minivan was hit by Gunter's motorcycle. Gunter was dead at the scene. Nobody else was injured.
