(Cleveland) - He called Cleveland, "My Town" in the hit song by that title, and now, hos town will honor the recently deceased rock & roll and radio star with his own day. Cleveland City Council voted Monday to designate march 25 as Michael Stanley Day in Cleveland.
The date reflects Stanley's birthday. The resolution passed by City Council says "Michael Stanley will live through is hiconoic music and lyrics: 'thank God for the man who put the white lines on the highway.'"
Michael Stanley died earlier this month from lung cancer at the age of 72.
