Loaded Gun In Man's Bag Results In Arrest

(Cleveland) - A man's flight from Cleveland was delayed after a loaded gun was found by TSA agents inside his carry-on bag.

About 10:30 a.m. Monday, a routine check found the gun, a handgun, loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition. Cleveland Police were called. The man told police that he forgot the gun was in his bag. However, the man was still arrested.

This was the second time this year someone was arrested at Cleveland Hopkins for having a firearm in a carry-on. The TSA says it is legal to transport a gun on a plane, but only if the firearm is unloaded, put in a hard-sided locked case, and put in with checked baggage. You also must declare to the airline that you have a firearm.
