Cleveland, OH - Emergency responders assisted at the scene of an accident that involved a car that overturned off the interstate and into a creek below.
The accident near the I-71 and Pearl Road interchange in Middleburg Heights was reported on New Year’s Day at approximately 10 a.m.
The fire department confirmed to 19 News that two people were in the car at the time when it flipped off the roadway and onto the roof in the creek.
Authorities could not provide an update on the severity of injuries for the two people. It’s not clear if the precipitation that moved through Northeast Ohio on Friday morning was a factor in the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing the investigation.
