Cleveland, OH - New Year, a new way to get Library materials. Starting January 1, some Cleveland Public Library users will be able to get their favorite books and movies without ever leaving home.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Library is offering a new free service, Words on Wheels, to adult residents of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District which includes Cleveland, Bratenahl, Newburgh Heights, and Linndale.
Here’s how it works:
- Sign up for a Library card if you don’t have one
- Call a neighborhood branch or the Main Library to request materials
- Materials will be shipped to your house
- When done, return items to any Cleveland Public Library location book drop or any CLEVNET member library
Cleveland Public Library will still provide our Homebound Service for those who are unable to return items on their own because of disability or age.

As a reminder, Cleveland Public Library is open to drive-up and walk-up services Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. The Main Library drive-up window is open on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
