(Cleveland) - If you're one of the 12,000 who will be able to attend Sunday's Browns-Steelers game that could determine if the Browns will get a wild card bid to the post-season, you will be able to have an adult beverage.
You may remember that the Browns, and the operator of food and drink operations at FirstEnergy Stadium were cited by the state in September. They were cited for allowing alcohol sales after the state-mandated cuoff of 10 p.m. during a Thursday night game.against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The state said that the stadium could either pay a fine, or be subject to a five-day suspension of its liquor license. The stadium told the state that a check was put in the mail. The state is taking the team's word, so because of mail delivery issues, Browns fans will either be able to celebrate with a drink, or drown their sorrows come Sunday afternoon.
