Cleveland, OH - Market Square at Crocker Park is partnering with Hermes Cleveland for their annual Resolution Run 5K on Sunday, January 3 at 9am. For the first public race to kick off the new year, runners and walkers will enjoy an event focused on positive resolutions and coming together as a community to support one another.
After the race, Burntwood Tavern and Leo’s Italian Social are hosting brunch with a special deal only for participants to enjoy.
The Resolution Run 5K will begin at Market Square where participants will have the opportunity to write their 2021 goals and intentions on a large “Resolution Wall” before they head out on the course.
The purpose of the run is encouragement, accountability and a fresh start heading into a new year. To provide a safe and fun race experience for everyone involved, runners will begin in small waves instructed on race day to follow CDC Guidelines and respect social distancing. Participants will receive a finisher medal, t-shirt, time results, and photographs available for runners to download for free, searchable by bib number and last name.
For runners that want to be a part of the race but are not yet comfortable attending live events, a virtual participation option is offered as well by following the same registration link on the Hermes Cleveland website below.
“We are welcoming 2021 with open arms,” said Stacie Schmidt, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Stark Enterprises. “We couldn’t be happier to partner with Hermes again for the annual Resolution Run. A great way to set your 2021 goals, get outside for some fresh air, and start the year on the right foot! After the race, participants can shop the North Union Winter Farmers Market, have a healthy brunch, or shop some great activewear at several of our stores and stay on top of their resolutions and goals!”
In person participants will be able to pick up their packets either prior to the race on Saturday, January 2, or on race day from 8am-9am, registration now until January 2 is $30 and on January 3 is $35. After the race, Burntwood Tavern and Leo’s Italian Social are both offering a free mimosa or bloody Mary with any brunch to participants who shows their running bib. Doors open to the restaurants at 10am. For more details and to register for both in person and virtual, visit www.hermesclevelandcom. The race begins at 9:00am at 239 Market Street in Crocker Park.
