Cavs Open Season With Limited Fan Seating

(Cleveland) - The Cleveland Cavaliers begin the regular season Wednesday night, but team CEO Lern Komoroski says there will be very few fans in attendance at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

Speaking to Dennis Manoloff and Al Pawlowski on WTAM, Komoroski said that due to state mandates related to COVID-19, the Cavs will be limited to 300 fans for each game. The team is working with the state to come up with a way to put a few more fans in the stands. For now, however, ticket sales will be limited mainly to a rotating group of season ticket holders.

Komoroski says one of the best things about the resumption of basketball at the FieldHouse is the re-hiring of part-time employees of the Cavaliers, the ones who deal with things like concessions, security, and fan experience.

Remember that even though you may not be sitting at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse this season, you can hear all the Cavs games, home and away, on WTAM 1100 AM, 106.9 FM, and on our free iHeartRadio app.
