Rock Hall Planning $50 Million Addition

(Cleveland) - It's being called a mix of "Reverence and irreverence." The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum has unveiled plans for a $50 million dollar addition, which they say will be reverent to the original design by architect I.M. Pei, while following the irreverence of rock music.

Initial plans call for a two-level addition to the west of the current building, which will add about 50,000 more square feet, while likely connecting to the parking garage that is next to the Great Lakes Science Center. The design seen in this photo is just a conception; final plans are still being worked out.

Plans are for the Rock Hall's expansion to get underway in 2022, and be finished by early 2024.
