(Cleveland) - The Cavaliers have proposed a new banner to hang on the side of the Sherwin-Williams HQ building, the banner that faces directly toward Rocket Mortgage Field House.
The proposed banner has seven hands of different people touching a basketball, with the slogan, "For the love, for the land." The Cavaliers say the new banner symbolizes diversity, inclusion and equity. Take note that one of the hands has on it a championship ring.
The Cavaliers will ask the City Planning Commission on Friday for permission to put up the new banner, which would be 210 feet by 110 feet.
