Polar Express Shuts Down; Orchestra Cancels Christmas Concerts

(Cleveland) - Because of the rising number of COVID-19 cases, one popular holiday attraction has shut down, while another is being canceled.

The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad has canceled all the remaining Polar Express rides. The annual rides were to have run through December 20. Customers will have the option of receiving a gift card for the value of their tickets, or to donate the value of the tickets to the Railroad.

The Cleveland Orchestra has canceled its 2020 Christmas Concerts. They were originally planned to have a reduced orchestra and a limited live audience. Now, the Orchestra is looking into alternative programming online.

The Cleveland Orchestra had planned a series of Christmas Concerts from December 10-20. Ticket holders can ask for a refund, a gift card, or donate the tickets to the Orchestra.
