(Cleveland) - The Barley House, on West 6th Street in the Warehouse District downtown, has received its third citation from the state in less than two months for violations of the state's rules related to operation during the pandemic.
Agents from the Ohio Investigative Unit, along with Cleveland Police, Cleveland Division of Fire, and Cleveland Department of Public Health, all went into Barley House late Saturday night, and saw what they called "egregious violations of health orders."
The OIU says more than 100 patrons were inside, dancing, walking freely while consuming alcoholic beverages, congregating throughout the restaurant and bar, and not maintaining social distancing.
Barley House was cited on September 27 and October 3 for "improper conduct - disorderly activity" and for after-hours consumption. These cases will go before the Ohio Liquor Control Commission Monday, November 16.
