(Cleveland) - Another problem has been confirmed in the Cuyahoga County Jail, as an inmate has died after an attack.
A county spokesman told 3 News that on Monday, there was what was called a "'physical altercation" between two inmates at the jail. Inmate Shane Trawick was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he died Monday evening.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner and Cleveland Police are investigating Trawick's death.
There have been a lot of problems at the jail in recent years, including corruption, and mistreatment of inmates. The sheriff's office runs the jail, but for now, there's no sheriff, as Sheriff David Schilling is on medical and family leave through year's end, when his retirement takes effect.
