(Mentor) - One man died, and another was injured, when a large tree came down during high winds on Sunday, falling onto their pickup trucks.
Mentor Police say it happened about 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Police were called out to Lakeshore Boulevard east of Heather Hill Drive. Police saw that a large tree had fallen onto two Ford F150s.
The driver of one of the trucks, a 51-year-old Mentor man, had minor to moderate injuries. The driver of a second truck, 26-year-old Valentino Panic of Mentor, died from his injuries.
