(Grafton Township) - A Grafton woman died Saturday, two days after her car ran off the road and hit a tree.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says that Michelle Smith, 54, was eastbound on State Route 303 in Grafton Township, Lorain County, just after 7 p.m. Thursday, when her car went off the left side of the road and hit a tree.
Smith was eventually taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, where she was in critical condition. She was pronounced dead due to brain inactivity on Saturday afternoon
The OSHP says Smith was wearing a safety belt. Alcohol or drug use has not been determined..
