Businesses Not Complying With COVID-19 Rules in Cleveland

(Cleveland) - The City of Cleveland's Department of Public health has been keeping track of COVID-19 non-compliance complaints. Between March 20 and October 20, the city received 3,685 complaints. The city has released a complete report.

1,698 complaints were for mask non-compliance, 1,160 for mass gatherings, and 717 for social distancing.

The most complaints overall were made about Town Hall restaurant on West 25th, with 60 complaints. JACK Casino has been named in 40 complaints. Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority buses and Rapid trains were named in 35 complaints.

Complaints about masks were received mostly about JACK Casino, Town Hall, and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, all of which were named in 24 mask complaints.

The number of complaints received by the Cleveland Department of Public Health went up sharply in July, likely as more people started going out to eat and drink when the weather got better.
