(Vermilion) - A mother of A Vermilion Schools student has filed a report with police, claiming child abuse by the Vermilion Schools, because the district makes students wear face masks for in-person learning.
The Chronicle-Telegram reports that Vanessa Drew met with Vermilion Schools resource officer Brian Beckwith last Wednesday. She said the school system is "making children wear masks, and making them suffocate."
Beckwith told Drew that the school system was following county, state, and federal guidelines, and that he would not go into the school to "start arresting teachers and staff."
Drew also filed paperwork with her report, including a message from a group called Patriots from Ohio, claiming Governor Mike DeWine is getting kickbacks for making people wear masks, except for elected officials, saying "us peasants are threatened with jail and fines."
