Bar Cited Third Time For COVID-19 Violations

(Maple Heights) - A bar is in serious trouble with the State, receiving its third citation related to COVID-19.

State Liquor Agents on Saturday night paid a visit to Vivid Cocktail Lounge, 16941 Broadway Avenue, Maple Heights, after receiving a number of complaints from people living nearby. Agents found about 60 people packed inside the bar, with no social distancing or physical barriers.

Agents say some corrective measures were put in place since the bar's last citation, in September, but the bar's employee were not controlling the patrons. The bar had also been cited for social distancing violations in June.

Vivid Cocktail Lounge's case will go before the Ohio Liquor Control Commission board. They could have their liquor license suspended or revoked, or they could be fined.
