The citizen who stopped to help the driver thought that something was wrong with the female behind the wheel. The vehicle was off the roadway and in the grass and when the officer arrived the female appeared to be asleep in the driver’s seat. The officers had to shift the vehicle into park as the driver could not figure out how to accomplish this.

The driver tested almost 3 ½ times the legal limit of alcohol on her breath. They did not give a breath test to the dog who was quite happy to await a sober ride with some kibble and water. They both were turned over to a relative who came to pick them up.
