(Elyria) - Police are continuing their investigtion into the death of a family of five in their home.
Elyria police were called to the house at 537 Willow Park Road Wednesday morning for a welfare check, when a member of the family didn't show up for work. Two cars were parked in the driveway, and there were bullet casings on the ground.
A neighbor told the Chronicle-Telegram she thought she heard fireworks the night before, and children screaming. Other neighbors say they heard the couple arguing in recent days.
Fox 8 is reporting that Elyria Police are treating this case as a murder-suicide, but the Lorain County Coroner has yet to rule on the deaths.
Grief counselors will be at Elyria High School Monday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
