Orange - – Silverspot Cinema at Pinecrest in Orange Village has announced that it will reopen Friday, July 31st, with $5 movies, chef-inspired scratch dining, and private screening events for just $99.
Silverspot, known for handcrafted cocktails and chef-inspired cuisine served during movies, will open Friday in accordance with all pandemic guidelines. As a reopening special, the theater will show Star Wars: The Force Awakens; Deadpool and The Jungle Book for just $5 per person with in-theater dining.
Silverspot has been working diligently to ensure a safe reopening meets or exceeds all CDC, state and local health guidelines. The theater’s new Dynamic Seating automatically separate parties by two seats on all sides, allowing more than seven feet between groups.
Another feature of the relaunch is “Silverspot Private,” where families and friends can watch their favorite films on the big screen, while enjoying full-service dining and cocktails safely.
For just $99, guests can reserve an entire theater to play their own content through a personal streaming account, a laptop or other device. The $99 fee will be credited toward food and beverages purchased during the showing, effectively eliminating the charge. Theaters will be limited to capacity based on guidelines set by health authorities.
“We’re very excited to offer private events,” said Silverspot managing partner, Gonzalo Ulivi. “The large size of our auditoriums make these gatherings safer than meeting at home. And we have full-service food and bar at low prices. We think these will be very popular.”
Silverspot will offer a special menu with its most popular items. All food and handcrafted cocktails will continue to be made on site from scratch.
The theater will offer its “Beat-the-Clock Happy Hour” on weekdays when drink prices change every hour. Beginning at 4 p.m., all drinks are $4, then $5 at 5 p.m. and $6 at 6 p.m.
