Drug Bust In Columbia Station

(Columbia Station) - Drug sales are not just an inner-city issue, as even suburban neighborhoods can be home to suspected drug dealers.

On Friday, The Lorain County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force, assisted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, went to 14471 Plum Creek Drive, Columbia Station, with a search warrant. There had been an eight-month investigation into what goes on at the house.

Deputies arrested 45-year-old Bruce L. McKenzie, and 30-year-old Ashley Nicole Smith. Each faces a count of trafficking drugs, and are in the Lorain County Jail.

In the house, deputies found suspected methamphetamine and heroin, along with drug paraphernalia.

This was not the first drug raid at this house, as deputies say they were there in 2018.

There were others in the house, said to be residents of the house. Deputies say they could also face charges, and McKenzie and Smith could also face additional charges.
