(Cleveland) - As the Ohio Legislature wants to cut the power of Ohio's state health director, she's getting support from outside the state.
The New York Times, in an opinion video, calls Dr. Amy Acton, "The leader we wish we all had."
The video says Dr. Acton, in her daily statements alongside Gov. Mike DeWine, uses empowerment, brutal honesty, and vulnerability. She makes us feel empowered, she says we can deal with this, and she says she's not perfect.
The editorial says, unlike her counterparts in other states, Dr. Acton has inspired us to stay home, rather than to order us.
