Lake County - The Lake County Sheriff’s Office has instituted a new TIP LINE at (440)352-TIPS or (440)352-8477 for residents in Lake County.
Callers can either text a message to this number or call in and leave a voice message detailing information. Your text/message will remain anonymous unless you so choose to add your information to the call or text so that we can contact you for additional information.
The office says it created the line so that members of our Lake County community can call in with information regarding persons on Most Wanted lists, crimes occurring in the community, or suspicious activity. Such tips could be key information in solving crimes.
The office adding that those who call and text in should note that the tip line is not monitored 24 hours a day, so if it is an emergency you're asked to dial 9-1-1 for immediate assistance.
All tips received will be sent to detectives for investigation or to detectives in neighboring police departments if it involves their community directly.
