Medina County Auditor's Office to Resume Field Work

Medina - Medina County Auditor Mike Kovack has announced that his office will resume data collection activities this week to collect information on new construction activity in the county.

While the auditor’s office has remained fully operational during the COVID-19 pandemic, field work was temporarily postponed out of cautionary concerns about the virus. Workers returning to the field will be wearing masks, wearing identifiable auditor’s office markings and also maintaining 6 foot social distancing during their work to ensure the safety of employees and residents.

The auditor’s office is required by state law to collect data on new construction each year in the county. Data must be collected, analyzed, entered into computer systems and transmitted to the state by fall to ensure compliance with the Ohio Revised Code.

While the auditor’s office remains closed to public walk in service, operations are ongoing Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

The public can reach the office via the website, medinacountyauditor.org, by phone at 330-725-9754 or by email at mkovack@medinaco.org. Those requiring in person assistance may schedule appointments.
