(Cleveland) - This is a hard time for charitable organizations, both when it comes to raising money, and in how they operate.
Providence House, which helps children and families in crisis, has had to temporarily shut down its nursery for babies and very young children in crisis situations. CEO Natalie Leek says you can't social distance in their nursery, and sometimes, you can't determine if a child is a carrier of COVID-19.
Leek says Providence House is still supporting families with phone-based case management, and providing families with basic needs items.
This week, Providence House would have held its annual fundraising luncheon. It has been replaced with an online fundraiser, in the form of a virtual luncheon.
