Giant Eagle Announces Reserved Curbside Pickup for NEO Healthcare Workers

Cleveland - Giant Eagle has announced that it has added curbside pickup slots to its operations at its Legacy Village and Southland Giant Eagle supermarket locations, reserving these slots for frontline health care workers in the area.

Health care workers in participating locations will be able to place their grocery orders online for pickup using a link provided by their employer.

“We are extremely aware of and grateful for the sacrifices health care workers make every day in order to provide much needed care for our communities,” said Jannah Jablonowski, Giant Eagle Spokesperson. “Providing easy access to essential nourishment through our curbside pickup service is just one small way we can thank them for their efforts.”

The reserved slots will be within the 8-10 a.m. and 6-8 p.m. pickup hours, daily.

“Our caregivers are working tirelessly and continue to keep our patients safe during these challenging times,” said Herbert Wiedemann, M.D., Cleveland Clinic’s Chief of Staff. “We are grateful that organizations such as Giant Eagle are supporting them with services such as this. Working as a team is more important now than ever before. Expanding our team to include partners like Giant Eagle helps make a difference for our patients, our caregivers, our organization and community.”

As Giant Eagle explores opportunities to expand this service to additional locations throughout the region, access to the reserved curbside pickup slots at the participating locations are currently available to Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals health care workers.

In an effort to help fuel the important work being done to protect our communities, GetGo is offering a free cup of coffee or fountain beverage to any health care worker who visits in uniform or shows a valid badge with their Advantage Card.
