Info You Need to Know Regarding Coronavirus

(Undated) - Here are some things you need to know regarding the Coronavirus situation.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has suggested that indoor sporting events restrict crowds. To that end, the Mid-American Conference Basketball Tournament, and the Ohio High School Athletic Association's boys and girls basketball tournaments will allow admission only by players, coaches, necessary staff, and immediate families of players.

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court is making plans to conduct as much business as possible either over the phone, or online. Unless told otherwise, you are still to show up for court hearings and trials.

Ohio State University, John Carroll University, Case Western Reserve University, The University of Akron, and Kent State University are among schools that have told students that face-to-face classroom instruction will be replaced by online instruction.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose has told all 88 county Boards of Election that polling places in senior citizen living facilities must be moved for next week's primary election. 36 of those are in Cuyahoga County. Those whose will have new voting locations will be notified by postcard.

Playhouse Square says its events will continue as scheduled.

Cuyahoga County has opened an Emergency Operations Center and Joint Information Center. This is to enhance the county's ability to support and manage county-level disaster response and recovery efforts.
