Barberton Man Pleads Guilty to Killing Dad

Akron - Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh announced Wednesday that 22-year-old Shannon Ingol, of George Street in Barberton, pled guilty to shooting his father to death.

Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Alison Breaux immediately sentenced Ingol to LIFE IN PRISON. Ingol will be eligible for parole after serving 16 years of his sentence.

Ingol pled guilty to the following charge:

  • Murder with a Gun Specification – a Special Felony

On June 19th, 2019, Ingol shot 41-year-old Shannon Callahan to death at Callahan’s Barberton home.
