As we march closer to the first full squad workout of the season on Monday, position players started trickling in one-by-one. Among the first to arrive to Goodyear were Jose Ramirez, Carlos Santana, Bradley Zimmer, Cesar Hernandez, Tyler Naquin and the newest member of the Indians, Domingo Santana. Prior to workouts starting at the Indians Spring Training Complex on Saturday, Indians GM Mike Chernoff formally introduced himself to Domingo and welcomed him to the team.
In a very light workout for those position players that arrived early, was an opportunity for batting practice and the first swings of the season. Carlos Santana who batted .281 with 34 HRs and 93 RBIs last year picked up where he left off.
