Day 2: Pitchers and Catchers Workout

Goodyear 2.13.20

The butterflies have settle and my mind is all baseball! (Okay, maybe I went to the Suns game last night in Phoenix) Day 2 is upon us and it was nothing but pitchers and catchers in Goodyear today, as the squad held their first workout of the spring today. Gold-glove winner, Roberto Perez came out early to warm up, long tossed and ran through some defensive drills. After coming off right-ankle surgery in October, Roberto is ready to roll. Indians Manager Terry Francona sat down with the media today updated us on his status, saying "he's doing terrific, I wanted to sit down with him and Sandy Leon and work out their schedule for the first weeks." More to come on that front.

Pitchers had a full-day of drills too. The big question many have been asking is "how is Carlos Carrasco?" Terry Francona addressed that saying "Carlos, wants to take the ball every five days and throw 200 innings." continued by saying "we will continue to monitor his condition." Everyone is feeling loose and ready to put the work in, which will be needed to play well into October.
