Grizzlies Top Cavaliers 113-109 to Win 7th Consecutive Game

MEMPHIS, TN -- The Memphis Grizzlies are undefeated when youngster Dillon Brooks scores 20 or more points, and they wasted no time getting the kid started on Friday night. Brooks was lights out from the beyond the arc, knocking down 4-7 triples, and lighting up the Cavaliers for 26 total points en route to a 113-109 Grizzlies victory.

The Memphis Grizzlies found themselves in a back-and-forth battle against a gritty Cavaliers team in the first half. as the two squads went to the locker at halftime with just a two-point difference in score. Memphis came out red-hot in the third quarter, outscoring Cleveland 38-20, before fending off a late game comeback by the Cavaliers to seal their seventh straight victory, and sixth straight win at home. Dillon Brooks Memphis in scoring with 26, Ja Morant chipped in 16 points with 8 dimes and 5 boards. Brandon Clarke led the charge off of the bench for Memphis, scoring 15 points in 25 total minutes.

Cleveland Cavaliers big-man Tristan Thompson moved to third place all-time in rebounding for the Cleveland Cavaliers franchise. Thompson was later ejected after receiving his second technical foul following a slap to the back side of Memphis forward Jae Crowder. The Cleveland center finished the game with just 3 points and 8 rebounds. Second-year guard Collin Sexton ledd nall scorers in points with 28, shooting 11-25 from the field. Newly acquired forward Alfonzo McKinnie recorded his first double-double of the season, scoring a dozen points and pulling in 10 rebounds off the bench.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will head to Chicago to take on the Bulls in the second night of a back-to-back. Tip-off is set for 8:00 pm ET on Saturday night at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Check out highlights from tonight's game below!
