Cleveland - TSA has announced it recovered a record number of guns in 2019 from airports across the country.
According to TSA, a total of 4,432 firearms were found at airport security checkpoints across the U.S., which averages out to about a dozen firearms a day.
At Cleveland Hopkins International Airport alone, that number sits at 26. The first happening back on January 22nd.
Officials say the overall number is a five percent increase from 2018.
USA Today calculated that nearly 87 percent of the firearms were loaded, and 34 percent had a round chambered.
