Cleveland - Workforce training will begin at The MetroHealth System main campus through a partnership between Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) and MetroHealth.
The inaugural Tri-C Access Center session — a Workforce Success Seminar — launches Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the hospital campus, located at 2500 MetroHealth Drive in Cleveland.
The free eight-week course will take place Wednesdays from 5-7 p.m. through March 18. Participants will:
- Earn college credit
- Identify and boost employable skills
- Gain computer, internet and Microsoft Office skills
- Get help with career planning, resumé writing and job searching
- Improve study, time management and problem-solving skills

Tri-C Access Centers debuted in 2019 to bring education and job training to neighborhoods gripped by poverty. The sites open doors to opportunity by bringing the community college experience into the community.
MetroHealth plans to incorporate a Tri-C Access Center into its new Institute for H.O.P.E. (Health, Opportunity, Partnership and Empowerment), with an opening targeted for 2021.
Seed money for the College’s third Access Center was included in a $1 million gift from MetroHealth last year.
Existing Tri-C Access Centers operate at the University Hospitals Otis Moss Jr. Health Center on the city’s east side and Esperanza on the west side. Programs have begun at each site.
