Cleveland Public Power has New Interim Commissioner

Cleveland - Joy Perry was sworn in Tuesday by Mayor Frank G. Jackson as the Interim Commissioner of Cleveland Public Power (CPP).

Perry previously served as the Deputy Commissioner of Customer Care, Marketing Sales for CPP where she managed marketing and sales, customer service and collections and the Meter Service Center.

Perry has led the creation of CPP’s Strategic Business Plan and Strategic Marketing Plan. She was recently assigned to head CPP’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation section. Perry also oversees several alternative energy initiatives.

Prior to serving at CPP, Perry was employed for over 24 years with East Ohio Gas Company, where she attained the executive position of District Operation Manager. Perry has also served as a consultant and part-time instructor, teaching management development for more than five years.

Perry holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management/Marketing from David N. Myers College and a Master of Science/MBA in Organization Development and Analysis from Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management.
