Bay Village Police Blotter: Aggressive Solicitation

On December 2, 2019 at 1:40pm, Bay Village Police responded to a home in the 500 block of Edinborough Drive on report of an aggressive solicitor. The suspect male was asked to leave the residence three times by the homeowner before finally leaving. Officers eventually found the suspect who was advised of the complaint. The male, who did not have a valid solicitor’s permit in Bay Village, was advised that he need to get one before continuing.

On December 6, 2019 at 9:08am a Bay Village City Schools Bus Driver arrived on station to report that a blue Honda Civic had passed his stopped school bus. The bus driver had video of the vehicle in question and the male operator. A report was generated and the operator of the vehicle will be cited.

On December 7, 2019 at 10:12am, an irate motorist arrived on station to report that a vehicle almost struck his vehicle after blowing through a stop sign. The complainant was able to get the suspect vehicle’s license plate number. Bay Village Police were able to find the suspect vehicle and spoke with the 16 year old driver who was strongly advised. The operator’s parents were contacted and would handle the situation.
