Michelle Hoover wins Telecommunications Award

Cleveland – Ohio State Highway Patrol Dispatcher Michelle Hoover has been selected for the 2019 Ohio State Highway Patrol Telecommunications Award at the Cleveland Dispatch Center.

The selection of Dispatcher Hoover is in recognition of outstanding service during 2019 at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Cleveland post as a dispatcher for the Cleveland and three Ohio Turnpike posts. Post management, troopers and dispatchers chose Dispatcher Hoover based on technical job knowledge and ability, enthusiastic work attitude, teamwork, and prompt and courteous response to the public’s requests for information and assistance.

Dispatcher Michelle Hoover joined the Highway Patrol in 2018 and resides in Medina Township.She takes great pride in helping the community and embraces the opportunities to have a positive impact on the public as well as our troopers each day whether it’s a critical incident or just communicating effectively with every call received.

A true team player in and out of the office volunteering her time with several community events such as Shop with a Cop and serving meals at the women’s shelter Laura’s Home. Dispatcher Hoover has been elected to help the Cleveland District with dispatcher recruitment in 2020 because she takes great pride in herself and her job performance.
