Thompson Leads Cavaliers Past Wizards in an Impressive 113-100 Victory

WASHINGTON, D.C., MD -- The Cavaliers went on the road to the nation's capital and snapped a three-game losing streak. Coach Beilein got contributions from just about every player on the roster, as the Cavaliers had seven players score double figures in a 113-100 victory over the Washington Wizards.

Tristan Thompson has been excelling in his leadership role on a young Cavs squad, and continued his dominance on Friday night in Washington D.C.. The Cavaliers big man recorded his seventh double double of the season. Thomson led the Cavs in both scoring and rebounds with 21 points and 12 boards. Rookie guard Darius Garland scored a career-high 15 points, shooting an efficient 6-11 from the field. The other rookie guard for the Cavaliers, Kevin Porter Jr, also netted a career high in points, as he had a sweet stroke going on his way to 13 points off the bench.

The Cleveland Cavaliers move to 3-5 on the season and will head to New York City to take on the Knicks in game two of a three game road trip. The knicks and Cavs will square off on Sunday evening. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm ET at the Madison Square Garden in New york City, New York. Check out highlights from today's victory below!
