Browns, OBJ Host Bowling Event For "Get 2 School" Students

Brook Park - Perfect attendance never felt so good as it did Tuesday for Canton City School students.

The district, partnering with the Cleveland Browns and their "Get 2 School" initiative, rewarded those who make it to class on time every day with a special visit from one of the biggest stars in the NFL today.

Odell Beckham Jr, while also taking pictures and bowling with the students at Brookgate Lanes in Brookpark, also talked with everyone about the importance of school and showing up.

"We hope this shows our students who didn't make it today that attendance is important, and that now they will work harder to get rewarded like this," said Canton City Schools Director of Student Services Diedre Stokes-Davis, who worked with the Browns to organize the event.

The Browns created the "Get 2 School" program earlier this year to help reach out to school districts with attendance problems in hopes to decrease absences.
