Columbus - State Representative Dave Greenspan (R-Westlake) today announced that specialty “Stop Bullying” license plates are now available for purchase through the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
Rep. Greenspan sponsored legislation authorizing the new license plates which was approved during the 132nd General Assembly.
Contributions collected when vehicle owners select these plates will fund grants for nonprofit organizations, schools, and school districts to provide bullying prevention training programs or similar educational opportunities.
The “Stop Bullying” logo used for the new license plates was created by 11-year-old Brooke Balser of Independence, Ohio. Ms. Balser won a statewide design contest sponsored by the office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost earlier this year, and unveiled her design with Attorney General Yost and Representative Greenspan during a ceremony in Columbus this past June.
