Cleveland, OH - On Thursday, September 26, 2019, three individuals were taken into custody by members of the RAVEN Task Force. The Case, led by the Cleveland Police Gang Impact Unit, involves an active investigation into associates of the Blitz gang, operating mainly in the area of East 55th Street and Hough Avenue.
Imonte Sims, 25, Marcus Hopper, 23 and Toney Hope Jr, 28 were taken into custody on Cuyahoga County and APA warrants for charges including parole violations, weapons offenses and violation of the state drug law. During the course of this investigation multiple weapons have been seized including assault rifles and handguns.
The Repeat and Violent Enforcement Task Force consists of members of the Adult Parole Authority, the Ohio Department of Public Safety, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Cleveland Division of Police. Through this partnership, federal, state and local law enforcement are able to collaborate efforts to prioritize leads and information to target violent crime and weapons offenses. Members of the Cleveland Police Neighborhood Impact Community Engagement and SWAT Units also assisted in today’s arrests.
The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office worked and continues to work closely with law enforcement to prosecute these violent offenders.
