Solon police took a report from a victim who reported that one of his firearms had been stolen. The victim stated that he is in the military and stationed outside of the country. In January of 2019 had had used his firearm at a range. After cleaning the weapon he placed in a gun safe at his aunt’s residence. Upon his return from out of the country he discovered the weapon missing from the safe. The gun has been entered into the national data base. The reporting officer will conduct the follow-up.

Location: 33599 Aurora Rd. (Chipotle)
Solon Police officers responded to 33599 Aurora Rd. on a complaint of 2 employees at that location fighting. Upon arrival of the officers, investigation revealed that a 16 year old female from Bedford and a 21 year old female from Bedford Hts. had become involved in a verbal dispute while working, which then leads to a physical altercation. Both parties had conflicting stories as to who assaulted whom. A review of the security cameras inside the store revealed that both parties had assaulted each other. Neither worker was charged and Chipotle will handle the situation internally.

Arrested: Natalie Huth, 36 from Solon
A Solon Police officer on Patrol observed a vehicle being operated northbound on Liberty Road near the intersection of Bainbridge Rd. As the officer followed he witnessed the vehicle being driven in a weaving pattern and the left side tires touching the center dividing lines. The vehicle was stopped south of Bainbridge Rd. While speaking with the driver the officer reported that he could smell the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle and/or her person. When asked, the driver denied consuming any alcohol. A series of field tests were conducted and indicated that the driver was impaired. She was arrested and transported to the Solon Correction Center where she refused a breath test when given the opportunity.

Arrested: NathanielZronek, 30 from Solon
A Solon Police officer on patrol was north bound on Brainard Rd. stopped for a red traffic light at Miles Rd. As the light cycled to red for Miles, the officer heard a vehicle activate its horn six times and then he witnessed as a vehicle failed to stop for the red traffic light. The vehicle was stopped on Miles Rd east of Brainard. When asked why he had sounded his horn and then ran the red light the driver stated “I’m sorry”. The driver indicated that he had drank “a little bit too much” when asked how much he had consumed that evening. Field tests indicated impairment and the driver was arrested. At the Solon Correction Center a breath test was performed showing a BAC of .217.

Arrested: Tyrone Singleton, 39 from Willoughby
A Solon Police officer was patrolling US 422 east bound when he observed a vehicle also proceeding east being operated in a weaving manner. The vehicle exited at SOM Ctr. where a traffic stop was conducted. The officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle/driver. The driver stated that he was on the phone and that was the cause of his weaving.The driver did admit to having a couple of drinks. Field tests were performed and indicated impairment. The driver was arrested and taken to the Solon Correction Center. A breath test was performed resulting in a .210 BAC
Offense: Aggravated Trespass/Theft/Possessing Criminal Tools/Fleeing & Eluding an officer

Location: 34280 Solon Rd.
Solon Police was contacted and informed that a theft of scrap metal may be occurring behind the building at 34280 Solon Rd. As officers arrived they located a truck behind the business running with the headlights on. The truck began to flee the area with the passenger door still open. The vehicle exited the driveway and crossed an open field to the west. The vehicle continued west between two buildings before exiting onto SOM Ctr. Rd. and heading north bound. The officer pursued the vehicle until it left the hardened surface street and into a private lawn. The vehicle came to a stop behind the home where the occupants fled the scene. Inside the vehicle the police found two wallets and cell phones. The case is under investigation by the Solon Detective Bureau to identify the occupants of the vehicle.

Arrested: David Hagler-Pickett, 21 from Cleveland
Solon Police was notified by dispatch that Bedford Police were in pursuit of a motorcycle which was not displaying license plates and was being operated in a reckless manner. The motorcycle turned north on Cochran while being pursued by Bedford. The motorcycle continued north until pulling into the Circle K station at the corner of Cochran and Aurora Roads. The Bedford unit followed the motorcycle into a dead end where the driver went off road through the grass onto Harper Rd. again. A Solon patrol unit now became the primary unit. The motorcycle failed to stop for a red light at Harper and Bainbridge roadsand had to swerve into oncoming traffic to avoid pedestrians in a crosswalk. The motorcycle entered US 422 west but turned around at the top of the entrance ramp and went through the grass and now was headed south on Harper Rd. The pursuit was terminated at this point. As units were still in the area they were directed by witnesses to a business located at the end of Fountain Pkwy. The motorcycle was located at the business hidden between a parked car and the building. Personnel at the business indicated that the rider was inside and hiding.Officers entered the building and located the operator hidden on top of boxes.

Location: 34000 block Bainbridge Rd.
Arrested: Sean Mogar, 26 from Burton
A Solon Police officer attempted to stop a vehicle in the 34000 block of Bainbridge Rd. for displaying two different license plates. Upon activating the emergency lights on his patrol vehicle the vehicle accelerated and fled from the officer at a high rate of speed. The pursuit was terminated almost immediately for safety concerns. Through diligent police work, the officer was able to identify the driver based on video from the True North gas station along with a credit card receipt for items just purchased. Contact was made with the registered owner of the vehicle who at first denied being involved but subsequently admitted to being the driver. The driver turned himself in at the Solon Police Station.
