Euclid - The Euclid Police Athletic League (PAL) will host its inaugural 3-on-3 Memorial Park Blacktop Bas-ketball Tournament on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at 3:00 PM at Memorial Park, 585 E. 222nd Street in Euclid.
The event, co-sponsored by the City of Euclid and Euclid Public Library, aims to unite the community and eliminate barriers between the youth, adults, and the Euclid Police Department. Many of our offi-cers have strong ties to the families and students in our community. We recognize how important it is for our Department to connect with the community more often to form better relationships.
The family-fun basketball tournament will host twenty teams: ten adult teams (ages 18 and older), and ten youth teams (ages 13-17) in a bracket-style elimination tournament. The grand prize team will win a $100 gift card for each player (up to $400). Live entertainment and free giveaways will be provided.
Registration is $15 per adult, $10 per youth, with a $5 discount for Euclid Public Library cardholders. Players must have Euclid residency with the proof presented at registration. To register, please call 216-289-8114 or visit the City of Euclid Recreation Department for registration forms.
Euclid Public Library will also host an NBA 2K Blacktop Tournament on Saturday, September 7th at 11:30 AM at the library. Children and teens can compete in a 3-on-3 virtual basketball tournament with eight teams in each division: youth (ages 8-12) and teen (ages 13-17). Winners will receive a free copy of NBA 2K20 for PlayStation. This event is free and open to all, and players can register at the Euclid Public Library now. To register, please call 216-261-5300.
