Euclid - Christopher Papouras will serve as Euclid City Schools’ interim superintendent after action taken by the Euclid City Schools Board of Education Monday evening.
The board unanimously voted to name Papouras as interim superintendent. He will assume the duties previously held by Marvin Jones II, who resigned as superintendent on Aug. 12th.
He will serve as interim superintendent for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year.
Papouras, a 1986 Euclid High School graduate, was named assistant superintendent of the district on June 1st. He served as principal of Chardon Hills Magnet School from 2012 to 2019 and previously served as assistant principal at Forest Park Middle School and Upson Elementary School. He has worked in education for more than 20 years.
