CLEVELAND--The Browns starting offense knew they only had one drive to make a statement in the first Preseason game of the season. Baker Mayfield led a fast 2-minute style 89 yard drive in his only series of action, ending with a TD pass to Rashard Higgins (24 yards) to start the game.
Browns receivers Odell Beckham Jr and Jarvis Landry did not dress Thursday night in a coaching decision. Kareem Hunt who will miss the first eight regular season games did not dress. But Mayfield was 5 of 5 after his first pass was behind. Nick Chubb was also involved in the passing game along with a big rush in the opening drive.

Browns will practice in Indianapolis before facing them in August 17th. Redskins who is still looking for a starting quarterback will host Cincinnati on August 15th.
